Yesterday I received the last of everything to do the "leading" job on this guard.
I'm mainly concentrating on the very top patch I did a while back.
I have never done this sort of work before but I have read up on it and as someone said "how hard can it be"! The rest of the guard I will use body filler.
The surface in most cases only has to be skimmed with filler and leading is useless in this case.

Can't believe how expensive it is to get into this.
The tallow and handle you only have to buy once.
The tinning stuff and the lead can be used up very quickly.
Nearly $500 for all this. The rasp is still coming.
