Body March
Norman Julian 21 Mar
3 steps backwards with these mudguard side skirts.
I wanted to put on the piping around the wheel arches of the back of the bus only to have discovered problems with the primer over filler on the western wall.
Looks like shrinkage somewhere so I decided to strip off the entire material I put on and start again.
I did find though that the "bog" wasn't the problem.
The high fill primer may be the culprit.
Anyway, I'm glad I am revisiting this because I'm not happy with my own work.
This time I have spent much more time in getting rid of a lot more high and low spots in the surface.
The top edge is another area I worked on getting a flat 90 degree flat edge which takes a lot of work.
Still, I am wondering about what to do with the primer situation and why it failed in the first place.

You can't use blue ribbon ice cream on it Norm.
Norman Julian
Peter Velthuis maybe the icecream melted or something!
Peter Velthuis
Maybe mix a bit of cream into it.

Wurth make a range of very good primers and fillers
Norman Julian
Mark Ellery nothing like giving your own company a plug!🤣

Norman Julian have not worked there for 5 years, I have used them and seen quite a few good shops and restorers use them,
it’s your job at you experienced shrinkage, you suggest the primer may be the cause and I have experience with primers and
fillers that did not shrink, use what you used previously or select another product, I am confident you will get the result you want.
